Why Is Emotional Intelligence Important?
Every leader is measured by their organization on WHAT they accomplish and HOW they accomplish it. As you move further up in any organization, your “HOW” will be more heavily scrutinized.
The problem is that “HOW” we accomplish our work relies on our emotional intelligence….and this isn’t something that every leader is naturally good at.
If you want to be an effective leader, you’ll need to:
Hone your ability to tune into your own internal landscape (emotions, feelings, thoughts).
Become more aware of what is going on in the world (people, teams, internal/external stakeholders) around you.
